Although we are based in Chico, we have installed projects across Butte County, Tehama County and beyond. Cities served outside of Chico include Oroville, Paradise, Magalia, Durham, Orland, Corning, Los Molinos, and Red Bluff.
Owner/operator David Cline holds a C-46 Solar Contractor license guaranteeing projects are skillfully planned and implemented. He has experience with both residential solar and commercial solar projects. We pride ourselves on timely solar installation and quick completion of solar projects.

About David Cline
Owner
David has been in the solar industry since 2015. He has experience installing and maintaining solar systems, and providing home energy audits. He decided to form California Builders in 2020. His background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Pacific Union College. Previous work experience includes owning and operating a life and health insurance agency. David also has years of experience selling homes in Butte County.
David is passionate about the savings that green energy has brought him personally and loves to pass the ability to save money along to his clients. His services include a full home energy audit with recommendations for solar, insulation, HVAC, ducting, electrical and more. He is a clear communicator and has the ability to educate his clients on complex topics. His goal is to have happy clients who are saving money.
